Sometimes if you want to get rid of the gun, you have to pick the gun up.

Yes true...Rijo Joseph wrote:Nice work sirji...still some improvements can me made on checkering...to make it awesome...
But it all happened so fast....had to settle with what I received
Yet, the feel / gripping is quite nice & comfortable!!!
Most importantly for a carpenter who had never made a 'Gun Stock' before...it has turned out to be an awesome job...especially the snug fit of the action in the in-letting of the stock.....
I somehow believe in the old saying "Never Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth"

A beautiful story indeed brihacharan, very moving gestures (on the part of both parties)!

Kudos Birhaji, Love the grain and overall appearance, a decent job indeed. I rather keep it plain without checkering the grip IMHO.
Howz the LOP in compare to your old stock or is it same ?

The checkering is just about good enough to provide a firm grip - more at the pistol grip - doesn't matter much if you prefer the 'artillery hold'to_saptarshi wrote:Kudos Birhaji, Love the grain and overall appearance, a decent job indeed. I rather keep it plain without checkering the grip IMHO.

The LOP compares very favorably with the old stock - suits me well
Thanks for your appreciation!

Re: My SAMURAI 3G gets a New Stock!!!
Last night with a little time on my hands & my own space, I tried My Samurai 3G with its new stock...
5 SMK 14gr Round Head pellets were shot at 25ft - Sitting / Hand held / Knee rested...
The first image shows grouping - when there was a steady breeze blowing from left to right...
The second image shows grouping - when I realigned my hold to compensate the effect of the breeze...
Later when I put back the Samurai in its resting place & went to bed...It was the soundest sleep I had in a long time
HAPPY HOLI to all my brothers in arms

The LOP to be precise is 13.5" - from the end of the butt to the trigger shoe....brihacharan wrote:The checkering is just about good enough to provide a firm grip - more at the pistol grip - doesn't matter much if you prefer the 'artillery hold'to_saptarshi wrote:Kudos Birhaji, Love the grain and overall appearance, a decent job indeed. On both the stocks (old & new) this has been maintained - good level of comfort when the AR is shouldered.
