I know a few otherwise highly intelligent and highly educated couples who do not watch any action movie, do not buy the kid even cap guns at Diwali, Holi pichkaris shaped like guns, video games with even a tiny amount of violence, etc.
True.

Actually society in India has gradually been emasculated to imagine that anyone who carries even a stick is a violent maniac. Yesterday I was talking to an acquaintance and mentioned that I had been to KSRA to do some shooting and he jokingly stepped back from me and pretended he was scared because I claim to shoot a gun. The idea of a gun for sport simply does not exist in the Indian psyche any more.

Two reasons for this - the first is British rule that gave us our gun laws that ensured that the population would not have guns to challenge the state. The second is environmental concerns that mandated laws against hunting for sport. In short guns=bad people. Rebels or animal killers. I think we as shooters need to do a lot more to promote the sport - although I can't think of how. In Bangalore - air rifles have more or less disappeared from sports stores.

The same happened with me too. All my colleagues, friends started teasing me as an anti social element as I have guns and membership. I dont blame them, it shows their unawareness. If a gun owner is an anti social element, then according to me who all use knifes in the kitchen are also anti social elements.

I have bought one china made airsoft pistol for my 1.6 year old daughter. Now she knows how to remove the magazine from the pistol and insert it. She also knows how to cock the pistol ( she actually cant do it with her little hands but she knows how to do).

Hi Everyone,

I am procuring a Precihole NX100 Polaris or Scorpius and I am thinking of getting decent scope (3-9x40/4-12x40) or the likes. Please let me know the available options. I am from Bangalore, so please do let me know if there is any place when I can get one. I am trying to contact Mr. Rijo Joseph, however, I do not see an option to PM him directly.
