I was thinking of a far more risky thing - but I will leave it for some other time!! Happy Diwali
LOL Thanks Sathya siper. I just rolled up the roller cap strip and flattened it. Perhaps an easier method would be to cut a 1 inch x 1 inch piece of cardboard and simply roll the roller cap strip over the card over and over again as if you are tying a bandage on the cardboard piece. Then simply staple it in place. But I haven't tried that yet - will try today and post over here. The main idea is that no matter where the pellet hits there should be at least one "dot" of explosive on the strip that the pellet hits. Typically these targets are good for 2-3 hits.

thank you sir , i learned all these things from these forums, and credits goes to the air gun guru's like you.
Very nice video..... Actually watching our shots in slow motion make us so enthusiastic.
Was this video recorded with a High Speed Digital Video or Edited with some software for slow motion.
Still a very good video..... I loved it very much.
Thanks Satya. It is fascinating isn't it? I used a high speed 1000 frames per second camera - a Casio EX 300 Exilim - which is probably the least expensive camera that shoots up to 1000 frames per sec. A few scenes are at 500 or 250 frames per sec.

I too thought of getting a canon IXUS HS camera for the same purpose Bu by the side thought of getting a High zoom Handycam to record some long range shots
Still confused about the same still now.

Thanks Briha. Trying to do some more informative experiment videos now - will post in due course

Satya this is always a difficult choice. For me I have waited years and years to get my hands on a high speed camera and over these years I have collected up other cameras of varying quality. So a specialst camera was easy to decide upon this time.
I think a good high zoom camera will always score over a fancy high speed camera in sheer application and utility. And the fact is that camera shutters are so good now you can get some really good video grabs sometimes showing a pellet frozen in mid flight from a good zoom video camera with no fancy high speed recording facility. I have a couple of videos/images using an ordinary tape (yes, magnetic tape) Sony Handycam showing a pellet frozen in mid flight. I intend to put up those clips sometime. The other thing I like to do is to use two cameras - one near the shooter and another close up on target and put both videos using software to do "picture in picture"
