Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
wth... 9800 on aimco?? Well, if that's the price when it's available in Bangalore, I'm not buying. Why'd they hike it by 1k when here I was thinking 8.8k was over my budget...

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
Nice review!!!
I have been following the posts on orion the thing is i look at it as the lightest airrifle made in the country with the best trigger mechanism any shooter can wish for. The biggest problem with airrifles was users complained of heavy weight and hard trigger, precihole has addressed both the issues. I said this earlier in my previous post and am saying it again this product will take the market by storm and other manufacturers will sit up and try to improve the quality of their products in case they want to stay in the race.

Very good review TenX
I also own serial #003 but it was Pegasus & I fix a scope on it can hit a soda bottle cap 8 out of 10 time at 30 meters
Don’t know whether company has increase the costing after just few months or the dealers are increasing due to the good response for the guns

No underlever but soon nitro piston & PCP air rifle will be launchThey also should consider to launch a underlever synthetic stock gun and will be very much interested to buy one.
Last month’s one of the dealers in Mumbai quoted Rs.9,500/- for OrionThe price seems to be moving up in Aimco website. It is moving up in very short span of time.
I think this gun should first find a foothold in market then play around. The guns seems promising and lets see before I place a order with Aimco.

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
I was told that the price would be Rs. 8800 for the Pegasus when I sent Mr. Shankar a message last week. I hope he honours his words Rs. 9800 is just too much That's almost 2 IHP .35 in .177.

In business, being the first doesn't mean anything. Getting it right is the recipe that defines everything.

If you are getting the gun for around 10K from local dealers the go for it because Aimco’s cost not including fright & packing charges plus octroi if applicable which will cost you not less than 1K
One more advantages is you can personally check the gun before purchasing it
One thing I can promise you it’s worth investing 10K for the Pegasus

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
My initial budget was 6k. I decided to stretch it to 8.8k after seeing that Precihole Pegasus seemed like a good product. Anything more than that is just too much for me. I didn't plan to get Pegasus from Aimco, I had spoken to Mr. Shankar from sportprecision.com (Bangalore's Precihole dealer) who told me it was Rs. 8800 for the Pegasus and it would be available end of November/First week of December.pratik_mahale wrote:SriramK

If it's going to be any more than Rs. 8800, I'll probably get an IHP 35 in .177 and get a much better air rifle a couple of years later and skip Pegasus altogether.
I hope it's not more than Rs. 8800, I plan to pick it up from Mr. Shankar directly if possible. Pay him in one hand, receive the rifle in the other and all that.

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
Lots of people first buy IHP & than try to tune it spending at list 2 to 3 K
I am one of it happy with the performance but you can’t do anything to IHP trigger still very hard after more than 3K shots
I only can give you suggestions finally it your money & your decision

I understand. Thank you for reminding me of the extra cost I might incur later with IHP I'll just wait and see how it goes.

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
The introductory price of orion was 8500 valid for the first 50pcs we have booked orders at this price too. The actual price is 9500, 300 is the wooden box packing charges to avoid the airrifle being damaged in transit. This box holds two airrifles so if you order two airrifles at the same location the packing charges will be 300 only. Freight is 500 flat rate in most places in India hence the current price for the orion is 9500+300+500=10,300 for door delivery in most places in India by gati transport.

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
One small request to all users please check the orion personally before coming to decision that it is over priced, fire a couple of shots to feel the trigger as then only one can decide whether the price does justice to the quality. Orion is a world class product and i believe that people who buy imported airrifles at premium prices will think twice after seeing the orion before they decide to pay a fancy price for imported brands.
We all are brand conscious if we remove the Made in India label and claim it is made elsewhere everyone will buy it even at 12k. My point is, see the orion in your hands from a dealers showroom or ifgian or a friend who has bought it and then rate it in a manner which you find fit. Of course i have commercial interest but i am tired of drooling at foreign brands which we will never be able to import in bulk for resale, orion is the dream product the airrifle industry needed i personally think it is at par with some of the foreign brands it is a trend setter hence i am defending it as customers who have bought the orion or has seen it are satisfied with it and they introduce their friends to get one for themselves.

Hi joybiswas
Thanks for clearing cloud over the costing
One more question why all dealers are promoting Orion .22 Cal why not Pegasus .177 cal
Personally I feel 800 FPS with .177 is the perfect combination

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
My thoughts exactly. Then again, the Orion was on sale before the Pegasus, which became available only after the new batch was manufactured @ 9500. Could it be better margins with the Orion @ 8500 from the previous batch?pratik_mahale wrote:Hi joybiswas

Re: PreciHole AirGun Review
hi pratik and sriram, the pegasus is not yet launched it is supposed to be available from 1st week of december. The price is the same as orion@9500 and i am opting for a manual safety as the feedback from customers says they prefer a manual safety over a automatic one. Once launched it will be listed at my site within a week for sale.pratik_mahale wrote:Hi joybiswas

why sudden Rs.1000/- increase in prices, I think your prices are reasonable. I got My IHP from you and its landing cost almost same as dealers are giving in Mumbai(landing cost induced transport and tax+octroi and it reached at my doorstep), you are one to list precihole AR first at price Rs8800/-(even before dealers list published on precihole site) some dealers were charging round Rs8000/- for IHP as well, they wont agree on Rs8800/- for these new guns. could this be the reason.
