While IHP is thinking of opening up New Lite is cashing in on the opportunity, shops in Bangalore are pushing New Lite as an alternative and quite honestly the finishing and quality on that seems better.

Same thing is happening in Chennai. New Lite underlever is being promoted. People are carried away by its smooth stock finish. In terms of accuracy, it is zero. I know a guy who bought it for Rs 6500 in Chennai and sold it for 7500 in his hometown.

This following is what currently posted on their revamped website, how did you come to know that they are taking advance?

IMPORTANT NOTICE
In or about 1st week of June, 2011 the Company became aware of the order and judgement dated 20-05-2011 of Honourable High Court of Delhi in the matter of People for Animals (Petitioners) V/s Union of India & Ors. (Respondents) inter-alia quashing the notification no. GSR 991 dated 13-07-1962 Entry No. 1(3) of Schedule II under the Arms Act, 1959 whereunder inter-alia Air Rifles and Air Pistols were exempted from the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959. In view of the said Order and Judgement dated 20-05-2011 of the Honourable Delhi High Court, the Company has stopped the manufacturing of Air Rifles and Air Pistols at its factory at Vatva, Gujarat as also its sale. The Company has also informed its distributors about the Delhi High Court Judgement dated 20-05-2011 and stopping of production and sale of Air Rifles and Air Pistols. The said Order and Judgement dated 25-05-2011 has been assailed in the Honourable Supreme Court of India. The Company will await the decision of the Honourable Supreme Court of India. The Company will notify further developments on its website
