Thank you all for replying,
But my special thanks to ‘ bodhijobs and Vikram ’ for boosting my moral about this air rifle.

I got my HW 77 yesterday, I am no expert on air rifles yet, but it is a fact it is one of the best quality air rifle manufactured in the world in its segment.

I do have an emotional attachment with this air rifle also. Sometime back when I was not a member of this wonderful forum ‘IFG’. I went to a gun shop in Mumbai to buy cartridges for my revolver, there I saw a HW 77, believe me it was a love at first sight. I intended to buy it and just wanted to hold it. But as always whenever you are in love with a beauty, someone will disturb you with HIS DUTY.

The shop where I saw HW77 is not my regular shop from where I buy all my stuff and the HW77 was there for repair, also I asked for .32 cal revolver cartridges Indian made no one was having it at that time for sale at least in Mumbai. So, it was only seeing and no touching. But I decided there and then I will get it.

Once again I thank IFG all friends here, now I own it.

Now coming out of nostalgia,
Vikram your HW looks GREAT. I can see provision for sling in it.
Do you use sling in your HW. how is the performance with sling, would you recommend me to have sling in my HW77 as I intend to have one , but someone here suggested it will be bad for my HW77 air rifle. The sling I want is just for understanding and using during shooting no carry purpose.

Regards.

Hi Vikram ,

Nice photo of the HW77 .As you have both the HW77 and HW77K which would you rate as a better one .
Is there any difference in the accuracy due to the shorter barrel in the HW77K ?Your input is solicited please.

Rajveer,

Hearty congratulations on getting your HW77. I can appreciate your emotions. Maintain it well and it will serve you a lifetime and your kids too.Would love to see the pics. Also, if it is OK,do share your experience with the whole process of importing it.Other members may find it useful.

I had a sling on the TX-200.

It just gets in the way unless you carry it a lot.

Amritraj,

While the HW77 was built like a tank and shot extremely well, it weighed a ton though I am on the larger side-vertically and sideways. It weighed more than a scoped .30/06 rifle. Not for the slightly built. But that is my opinion.Others' experience may vary.

The 77K was just right in terms of weight and length. There is no difference whatsoever in terms of accuracy and range. The TX-200HC had an even shorter barrel and it shot as well as the HW77K.

Best-
Vikram
