Harry

Buying and importing the machines could be arranged but as you said most manufacturers are in small scale sector.....capital inlay & other business restrictions would make manufacturing pneumatic air rifles virtually impossible...and getting a licence to import a machine to manufacture rifle barrels. It is not on OGL but is covered under negative list licence which is virtually impossible ....

My company imports things covered under negative lists and know how difficult it is to get an import licence.

So till the time we get another manufacturer we have to bear with whats available in the market.

Hey has any one around here used a IHP Pneumatic Air Rifle
how reliable and accurate are they. i do remember reading a post recently that said something about the poor quality and manufacture of the rifle and even after quite many attempts to rectify it the thing was a scrap (Disclaimer: i remember it vaguely so please don't quote me on this and i could be wrong as well, the chance of which are generally high)

Raja,

Please don't hijack a thread in this manner, for this query start a new thread with an appropriate heading under the "Airguns" section here.

For a list of IHP distributors/ dealers please check out the list on the IHP website - http://www.indianhumepipe.com/rifleadd.html

Cheers!

Hi what are the MVs of these IFG airguns anyone who has a chrono record to sustantiate .asked a local gundealer here in dehradun for geting my daisy airgun telescope mounted on my ancient IHP brk brl .22 he asked Rs 2800/ for a scope rail job ,didnt know whether to laugh or cry. had half the heart to tell that idiot ( claims vintage of pre independence) that the airgun itself was just bloody timepass without any useful applicability ( ie NOT for punching paperbut other things ). neverthless since this scope is lying free unused any suggestions which would give better MV the .177 or the .22 though i know the .177 IHP should.really frustrating to just dream of a better ( imported) airgun landing up in MERA BHARAT MAHAN. everybody finally lands up with IHP like our IAF has no choice but the stupid HAL (Bangaalore) i mean no competition,no survival so sab chalta hai type quality and then you ask for a fairly astronomical price!

I assume you're talking about IHP.

I've chronoed a mod 35 in .22 calibre and the velocities are close to 450 fps.
