I live in Chandigarh. I have always liked guns but i am not able to buy them. Few days back i visited shooting range (there wasn't even a soul) and i thought i should get into this sport. And here comes the problem. I don't anything about air pistol. I visited 2 local gun shop and they only have junk.
From this forum i came to know that air guns are imported. Can you please tell me which air pistol should i get for myself to be able to participate in competitions And from where should i buy pistol and the accessories.
Which type of air pistols are used in the competitions in India. And how do they refill the cylinder and from where to buy the targets? What are the rules related to air pistol shooting?

Gurjant
The lowest level that one can start in this feild is an IHP co2 pistol a very good but much maligned pistol as it does not come with instructions so cannot be maintained by a newbie
The next is said to be the ihp hpa pistol I have not seen one but proficy that it will have the same problems as above
IZH Baikal 46M is the most basic of imported match pistols to get the best trainer available no tension about getting air or gas
from here on it is imported air pistols from 30k to the sky
Fact remains that I have not found any Indian shooter who is happy with the air compressors around ,none of them give full pressure none that ive heard of so far
Go to the range find some guys to hang out with make some peers and friends find a guru and then the sky is the limit
Enjoy
