Hi guys,
i'm wondering why people are so obsessed with power. Unless its for hunting (i don't support it) or for pest control, we are better off with a .177 rather than .22 . We should be working harder to achieve a greater degree of accuracy. I like the work of karizman, his two stage trigger sort of things would surely increase accuracy, anyway, we still need raw power for pest control purposes so that we can score a quick kill rather than leave them injured, eventually they will die a painful dead, which we obviously don't like.
Ok, whatever, lets keep learning so that we can get a better gun that packs an awesome power as well as accuracy.

R1 is a workhorse. Awesome power and accuracy. What is lacking could be the smoothness. People spend lots of money. Change stock seal, spring etc to make it a smooth shooter.m_naorem wrote:Hi guys,

In the above the this gentleman is America uses a Beeman R7 (650 fps in .177) for hunting. And he shoots it out to 50yds. So this whole thing about power is one big myth.
I sincerely believe every one should carefully study the above pdf before investing in an air rifle. Although the doc is about hunting in the US. He has a a lot of valuable tips for gear selection for target shooters.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Excellent article. Real good eye opener.
I loved it. Covers everything, from Airgun type to Scope, Mounts, Pellets. Almost 1 point solution.
Thanks a lot

Re: spring specs IHP.22
Hi Tirths,
I tried the spring on my brother-in-laws air gun (make is EFA heard of it?). It did work well but I feel the power is dropping after about the 100th shot. Trying to source a better spring. I could not find the spring that striker was selling in the sale section.

Most springs that are manufactured in India are not good. However, you can try mastershot 35 (spring). Someone told me, they source good spring.drifter wrote:Hi Tirths,

Regarding power dropping, it is common. Reasons are many. Most common reason is, most of us, do not set the spring before installed inside the receiver therefore very few shot we get like a rimfire sound and power and then it reducing upto 70% the power.
