Hello everybody
I want to buy a BSA Meteor Mk7 / BSA Supersport in .177 caliber. Could any one guide where to purchase it online as purchasing online from UK has some restrictions. Though I am not a sportsman I'd been using air firle National .22 for the past about 23 years. Now I want to upgrade to some new and quality version. Since importing requires club membership and i'm not a member at present kindly let me know if it takes additional documents other than the membership card itself. Can I import right after becoming a rifle club/association member. Morever are there any restrictions with regards to muzzle velocity for .177 caliber.
Kind reply solicited
with regards
Sudhakar

Re: BSA Air Rifles
Hi,
Most of the gun shops in the UK do not courier to India. I tried to import an air rifle but India is on their ‘no no’ list because they say there have had lot of complaints about no deliveries.
Also the UK gun law regulates that an air gun cannot exceed 12ft/lba. That means the power is significantly reduced. This was done due to lot of gang violence. If you need a powerful air rifle (normally what you get in the open market in the US) you will have to first apply for a Fire Arms Certificate in the UK.
Your best buy would be from the US. http://www.pyramidair.com is one company that has a very trusted reputations and many people buy from them. You also have a wide range. Your choice is nice but I would have personally gone in for a RWS 350 magnum. Its powerful and accurate.
You can apply as soon as you get your membership. I have heard that you can now import .177 without a membership too as it is tax free. Sure it is tax free but without a membership….why risk. As far as velocity is concerned, I don’t think .177 will be tested.
