Re: DIANA 45
Waltherguns,
The Diana 45 is not one among the more popular models made by Diana. Shoots up to 690 fps in .22 according to their website. The 31 and 34 are more popular models and outsell the 45. The price in India will vary from dealer to dealer and will generally command a premium well over the original price. Are you planning to buy it in India or import it? What kind of a budget are you on?

Re: DIANA 45
dear prabhat ,
some members of IFG has suggested me to check it with Gunmark Armoury , pune , so yesterday evening i talked to him . Mr. anil from gunmark told me that , Diana 45 is not among the current models , the company had stopped it's manufacturing 10 yrs ago. I saw a brand new diana 45 model , at a dealer's shop , he asked me 35k . But i think it might be a duplicate Diana.
After all this information , am planning to import it through Gunmark , or if i get the membership of any rifle association , thn i'll do it myself.
my budget is around 35k , n i put up in Delhi NCR . Now pls suggest which model shud i go for n wtz the easisest way to get it by spending lesser money.
my e-mail is [email protected]

Go for a Diana 34 or 31 instead of a Diana 45. 34 and 31 both have got better fps and hence muzzle energy than Diana 45. Besides they are more lighter and smaller. Spares for both also should be available in plenty for some time to come. Here are two useful links for you to compare the two.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

The Diana 45 is still being made for exclusive export to some countries. You can still buy Dians 35 and 45 in Dubai.

Re: DIANA 45
Waltherguns,
Please ask Anil of Gunmark to go and check the Diana website. The 45 is still being manufactured. Gunmark is listed as a dealer of Diana and he should not be giving you wrong info. The price quoted to you seems steep to me. Try to get yourself a rifle club membership and import one yourself. But you can only import a .177 through post or courier. The membership will stand you in good stead in the long run. You could also ask someone to carry the airgun back for you, when coming from abroad ie: if you have someone abroad who can do it for you. Any reason about choosing the .22 over .177?

Re: DIANA 45
I really dunno why these dealers misguide us ........ he told me its not manufactured nymore. Anywayz , i think it'll b tough for me to import it myself , i put up in Ghaziabad(Delhi NCR) , n here we dont have any rifle association or ny shooting club , so i have to work hard to get a membership of such an association , apart from it , am not a regular shooter, i have started shooting since a couple of months.
Am already using IHP .177 , thts why am lukin for .22 now (i know it cn't b used for shooting), moreover i wanna do a gud collection as well .
Do you any 1 who can import me Diana 34 or any other model , on commission basis ? Am ready to pay , if suitable ( i mean if i get a better price thn dealer at least ), But as u said i shud import it on my own , i'll discuss it , with a few ppl today , tht , if i can get some membership of any club or association easily.

Re: DIANA 45
I have literally grown up with a Diana 45 and a 35. (yes my dad bought it way back in 1980s). Both in .22 caliber.
The 45 is definitely much more powerful than the 35,35s and 27. In fact, it was advertised as the most powerful airgun the law would allow! The one thing they forgot to mention was it was the heaviest of all Diana break barrell guns. The 45 is still shooting at the same power after 25+ years with original spring. Atleast shot 20k+ pellets! But then my dad handles it with atmost care.
When used with imported pellets, the 45 is as accurate as the rest of them. But when using Indian pellets, the rifle's power and the pellet variations, make it at best an average shooter by Diana standards.
Get a 35 it is lighter & much more sleeker!
