The pump is able to compress air till 250 Bar or a lil' over 3500 PSI. I think it is a standard high pressure pump. Its just like filling air into a deflated bicycle tyre. Well, both. He was a bit more concerned about the loss to the exchequer due to duty loss if every Tom, Dick and Harry, members of rifle clubs started importing air guns.
