alternate for heavy tar

Dear Friends..can you suggest an alternate for heavy tar used on airgun main springs (something similar to J Maccari's dark spring tar) other than the motorcycle chain/axle grease which is readily available in our country....and if anyone is using Molybdenum disulphide for other areas and if it is a Dow Corning product please let me know which one...
