Venky, compared to the break barrel, the CO2 gun is
easier to cock,
refined in recoil,
much better adjustable trigger action,
better balance,
better hold,
longer rifled barrel
good adjustable sights
good refiled
.. and also looks better
.. leading to much better performance accuracy and overall experience.

I am not an expert just helping out. THis is what i can think of ....maybe gurus can come up with more.
( All this is theoretical, what i have read from this site and others. I have no Practical Experience, ihave break barrel for myself)
Advantages:
1. No extra effort required for reloading.
2. Lesser recoil, gives greater accuracy
3. Maybe its lighter.
Disadvantages
1. Initial cost is high
2. Cost per pellet fired(in India) is high. Cost of Co2 Capsule is around Rs 175/- (as per latest posting http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?p=51884#51884). I am guessing that they give 50 shots per capsule atleast. That makes it per shot Rs 3.50/- . Indian Good pellets like Gsmith work out to 50p so total Rs 4 per shot. If you use just a break barrel, then its only 50p per shot. This does not count maintenance costs which might be the same or different in both cases.
3. It is not very easy to get Co2 capsule is my understanding.
4. Power(FPS) over the entire range of shots may not be the same.
cheers

Ice,
The IHP C02 pistol does not use CO2 capsules. It has a fixed CO2 reservoir in the form of a tube below the barrel.
OOops ....there u go, experience shows...........is there an emoticon for foot in the mouth
Venky just disregard my entire post.....sorry.
