The very first Air Rifle was built by Diana in 1890. It was not Diana Model 1 as depicted in the picture above but an all steel air rifle.

Re: Diana Mod 1
Hi all
I have a good news for bracho
I have found data about Diana model 1 in a very old and poor book (in rotten condition from local kabadi)
It says that
“” in early 1900 a german firm Mayer and Grammelspacher merged as the large producer and developer if air arms.
The first model named as Diana mo. 1 had a simple mechanism of a compressor sliding inside a tube over stock. “”
Here is a photo which resembles brachos gun

Bracho I would like to buy it…
As I am saying “I would like to buy it “ I am feeling that I am proposing a girl so plz don’t refuse..
