Hi Ketan,

Check if the barrel of your Jimy is slightly bent. Open the barrel and see if the muzzle end is perfectly round in shape (like a full moon). Even if there is little bend the pellet won't travel out of the barrel. This happened to a friend of mine with a National air rifle.

A slight bend in the barrel wont stop the pellet from exiting the barrel.

The reasons, I can think of at the moment, for a pellet not exiting the barrel could be:

1) Use of an oversize for calibre pellet. eg G. Smiths are very tight fits in some Indian airguns.

2) The breech seal has completely failed thereby letting the air escape.

3) The piston washer is completely knackered thereby making the gun extremely underpowered.

It could be a combination of one, two or all three of the above reasons. I am assuming that the manufacturers have atleast bored the barrel for the right calibre.

A weak spring, or damaged piston, air leaks often produce such results.

Check for these areas. The make of that gun imples the finish will be comparatively much crude to IHP.

I guess it would be best to discard that old rifle if you already have an IHP.

Hi Shahid Bhai,

I cannot Discard that Air-Rifle coz it was gifted to me by my Grand Father
I have lot of good memories with it i cannot forget the day when he gave me the surprize he taught me how to break & fire that was the only gun on which i learnt lot of shooting things & techniques.

Even if the gun doesnt work will be fine for me i will keep it in my collection
But i can not see her lying on a wall as if there is nobody for her.

My father is not intrested in guns thats why he told me to take it back along with me to my new home.

Thanks & Regards
Ketan.

Look for what Mack The Knife said that should fix the problem.
You can install the spring and washer yourself.
We can take you thru the process if you wish.
Provided of course that you post pics of the process as it proceeds :-)
what say? you game?
