I wish I had thought of the duct tape. But I use a fast glue to hold the araldite in place till it dries. A few dabs of locktite on the araldite works neatly.
Araldite works very well as it is shock proof. You can also remove it with hot water. Prolly not on a scope but other applications.

THings are working fine now. Scope reset once again, no travel or creep noticed in about 50 rounds fired so far. Not getting enough time with this Toyota FJ cruiser launch and so on but will take it outdoors soon.
