For rust removal, good old WD40, diesel and kerosene are your best friends...
As regards blueing, I would recommend against it if the gun is not going to be very well cared for. Cerakote/Duracoat is a far superior option in that case IMO.
There are basically only two tools are needed in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
