licence details for sport rifle guns and piston in tamilnadu

Dear Brother,

i am from tamilnadu,i would like to open sport rifle shop in my area.I asked the manufacture he told no license is required to sell this types of air rifles and no licence is required by customer to purchase this types of sports guns from shops also.Could you please explain me brief .

But in tamilnadu police website it show like this : http://www.tnpolice.gov.in/Arms_license.html

Pistol, Revolver and repeating rifle. Rs. 100 Rs.50
Rifle Rs. 60 Rs.30
22 Bore Rifle (low velocity) firing rimmed cartridges, B.L.Gun and Air- Rifle Rs.40 Rs. 20
M.L.Gun, Air Gun, Sword, Bayonet,Dagger Rs.10 Rs.5 and Spear lance
