Buying an Air Rifle in Delhi
I have always had an interest in shooting, and it got a surge when I did so well in my first clay pigeon shooting experience in South Africa.
I am looking to buy an air rifle (~Rs. 5-6000) in Delhi to start my journey. Are their any known spots, and brands to look out for? Any other tips from the folks here?
I also read something about not being able to buy an airgun without license anymore. Is that still relevant?
Thanks a lot, and I hope to be visiting here more often.
Cheers!

You do not need a license for air rifles. Arms dealers and some sporting goods dealers stock them.

While Delhi IFGians could help you find a dealer, there are some online shops that you can look at... (Kovi Bazaar, Aimco etc.,)

You will get a wide range to choose from, that may not be available with dealers.

Try the online sites that are mentioned above (you will get your requirements at lesser price)ibalajis wrote:While Delhi IFGians could help you find a dealer, there are some online shops that you can look at... (Kovi Bazaar, Aimco etc.,)
AK AGNI 500 or SDB MODEL 65 or SDB NODEL 95 are good air rifles. These will come under your budget.
All are of 0.22" caliber.
For sports practice you have to increase your budget (Precihole NX100 Polaris is recommended, it is of 0.17" caliber).

For budget upto 6k you can go for SDB. However, if you have budget upto 10k, hobbyandyou is a Precihole dealer based in NCR. He has an online presence too. The products he sells are genuine but before you go, make a list of what you want to purchase (Rifle, Pellets, Trap etc) and get the rates for them from internet. He will try his hardest to rip you off but if you will show him the rates, then he will come down.aftabkhan wrote:Try the online sites that are mentioned above (you will get your requirements at lesser price)ibalajis wrote:While Delhi IFGians could help you find a dealer, there are some online shops that you can look at...
