Hi,
The NEW SPRING is what i got when i ordered a Precihole spring online. OLD SPRING is the one which was inside my IHP35.
The measurements are different & i doubt the NEW spring's genuineness, considering its surface finish as shown below.
So,
> Can someone confirm the measurements of an original Precihole mainspring compared to what's shown in the image?
> If genuine, will the NEW spring be compatible enough for the IHP35? This considering the length & OD are smaller in the new one.
> What effect does the reduced OD & total length of spring will bear on the final performance? Piston remains the same.
> Is the Precihole piston seal/adapter a direct fit for IHP35 or similar?
I'm not planning to machine a new spring guide as of now.
Measurements shown above might have a slight error margin.
Thanks! : )

Why go for Precihole Spring. IHP also provides spring as spares and available at their distributors. It also cost less than Precihole spring.

I guess the next question will be - which is the better of the two - IHP or Precihole?

Re: Advice needed: Precihole mainspring measurements
Thanks to all, especially Briha. I got all the answers : ) This one is not a match. I might go for a Gsmith or import.
This new one was ordered for another cheap rifle for 300Rs & i just wanted to know IHP compatibility & whether what i got is a genuine Precihole spring or a knockoff. My nearest dealer is some 70kms away so can't really get a comparo in person.
Nop the next question is already asked.
> Is the Precihole piston seal/adapter a direct fit for IHP35 or similar?
This because i've access to only Precihole parts as of now, & that is directly from the factory.

Thanks to all, especially Briha. I got all the answers!
> Is the Precihole piston seal/adapter a direct fit for IHP35 or similar?
> No the adapter wont fit - The seal can.....
> Hence no point in trying to mix & match....
> The present IHP's synthetic seals are good - you may order from them direct....
