Re: Walther lever action
Hi guys,
@xl_target: Thanks, man. This community has been such resource and support.
aut viam inveniam aut faciam.
@ckkalyan: Thank for the link to the site. It's very interesting. I don't know if you remember this, but I wanted to buy your pair of Walther Lever Actions when you were moving from Dubai to Canada. Unfortunately, I couldn't get anyone to carry it for me.
@ Dev: Thank you for that site reference. I checked it, but no dice. So far, the Black Dust edition is available only in Europe. I mailed PyramydAir, and they told me they haven't heard of it yet, and i should contact Umarex, as they are the importers. So i mailed them, but no reply as yet. If I may ask, why do you suggest not buying from Europe? Any bad experiences?
One more question : I found the DGFT notification relating to Airguns. The link is here:
http://dgft.gov.in/Exim/2000/NOT/NOT11/not9510.htm
Is this the final word? What does it mean? Can only renowned shooters import? Could someone please shed a little light?
Cheers,
Luke

I have recently received my gun licence in Canada - and I haven't forgotten the lever action I am keeping a close eye on the ultimate original lever action - The Henry Rifle:
I am sure you will love all the variants.
Something to drool over- surprisingly inexpensive for the workmanship Link from here http://www.henryrifles.com/henry-rifles/

Re: Walther lever action
No luke no bad experiences, it just that I have bought my stuff from the USA. Secondly, the import of .177 airguns is still duty free, long as you have the club membership. You might have to get a NOC from the NRAI if customs insist, this might be the dampener on the plan. Otherwise you are good to go.lukeatme wrote:Hi guys,

Re: Walther lever action
Hi,
@ ckkalyan: Wow, sir. Those are amazing. The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Edition on the site is magnificent.
@dev: Thanks. I went to the NRAi website, but they don't have an NOC form. So do i just mail them with a copy of my Rifle club i.d., or is there a particular avenue I have to follow? Your help with this is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Luke.

Re: Walther lever action
HI Luke,
There is no online form. They just certify that you are a registered shooter. So if you have a registered shooter card, they just verify it with their letter.
That is what I meant as a dampener.
Regards,
Dev

Hi,
@dev: i don't have a shooter card. i would have had to participate in state and national events for that, right?

Thanks for the explanation, dev.

Luke.
