ordred first gun , confused for scope utility

Post by viraniparvez » Tue Mar 04, 2014 9:20 am

Hi guys
First of all thanks for the previous post answers
After all your suggestions and advices I have finalized my first gun as ihp m35 , ordered it from amico and awaiting my delivery by 10 of this month
Apart from it I am really confused for scope
Should I get it …. ? (Biggest confusion) as I am a novice and I will just start with the gun
As ihp don’t have raising barrel it’s not very suitable for scope rail ( but few people have put it with help of araldite ( is it safe for gun and my eyes at a same time lol !!!)

I am not planning for any competition

Please give your valuable feedbacks and suggestions

IHP doesn’t have scope rail you need to buy separately

I used araldite to fix the scope rail on my IHP still no problem after more than 2K shot

Buy any airgun rated BSA scope. They hold zero quite well.

If you buy any other scope other than airgun rated, then you risk breaking the optics of the scope.

Others may disagree and they could be right. But, I do not see the point of putting a scope on an IHP air rifle, especially if it is a first one. I would suggest you learn basic shooting techniques with this air rifle with open sights or peep sights. Then, when you have a clear idea of what to expect from the sport, from yourself, and will have saved enough money for a better product, go for what you want. IMHO.

Agree with Vikram. Since you are new to the sport and art of AR shooting, give yourself time to get familiarised with the gun, the behaviour of the entire "system" consisting of the gun, the pellet, and you. Get control of these three variables before adding a fourth one (scope). It's like learning to drive / ride a bicycle or motorcycle - you start on empty roads or fields to familiarise yourself with the vehicle and when you are comfortable, you move to traffic.
Cheers!
