Review- Aimco Enterprises & Precihole NX 100 Scorpius
I had ordered a Precihole NX 100 Scorpius (.22 cal Nitro Piston) airgun from Aimco Enterprises, Kolkata on behalf of a close friend. I received the Airgun by Gati courier in 5 days flat!!
The procedure was fairly simple...Called up at the phone no. given at aimco enterprises website (http://www.aimco.co.in) in the contact us section..after confirming the availability of the desired airgun I deposited Rs 11,900 in the ICICI bank a/c no. Mentioned on the Aimco website. Sent an email to them mentioning the desired model no., courier address & confirming the payment. They sent me the Gati courier tracking no. the very next day.. Received the airgun today in the evening in a nicely packed wooden box along with 100 complementary .22cal pointed pellets!!
Didn't shot too many pellets as it was pretty dark outside. Just to test the airgun placed couple of empty deo spray cans at around 35 yards in a safe location with a concrete wall as backstop! To my utter amazement (or disappointment ) the auto saftey mechanism didn't came into play..Checked the manual & there it was mentioned that few guns are supplied with manual saftey option ..Anyways shot a total of 3 pellets that came along with the airgun at the deo cans & unexpectedly the pellet not only hit the intended target but punctured it as well..the deo cans flew off with a whooooos sound:mrgreen: I said unexpectedly not coz I underestimate my shooting skills but Coz I didn't expected the sight to be perfectly aligned straight out of the box & the also airgun hasn't break in as yet!!
Will shoot couple of hundred of different pellets in the next couple of days & allow the gun to break in. Once the airgun settles down will try to post a brief review along with pictures!!

Hi Kumarnishith
Congrats brother, I hope this is the next generation of the Indian Air Rifle. I guess the problems of its predecessors have been taken care off. Auto safety is a pain, as indian AR users are not accustomed with the safety option, so often overlooked. By the way what pellet you are using? You can line up 4-5 deo cans & see the penetration.

Hi Kumarnishith,
Thanks for sharing. I am planning to place an order for the Scorpius in the first week of Jan 2014. I am excited and just wished I could have purchased it over the counter without waiting for delivery. Will definitely lose sleep till I get my hands on it.

Hi guys, after seeing the reviews and the picture, I just became very curious and visited few dealers of precihole. After looking at the gun I am really impressed. Especially the weight, look, shape and the finishing. Dint feel like giving it back to the store
I am just wondering why indian manufacturers do not make air rifles with bolt mechanism with magazines or catridge instead of breaking the barrel after each shot? Or do we have any and I am not aware?

Kiran, bolt action airguns are usually PCPs / CO2. More complex and much, much more expensive (if you include cost of pump, scuba tank, CO2, etc.). There are side-level & under-lever springer airguns available. I think there is one Indian under-lever, SDB I think. Someone on this forum has reviewed that gun also. But even those are generally single shots and don't have a magazine / clip.
A cartridge would make it a firearm, not an airgun. Different ball game altogether.

Coming to this nitro spring technology, do we have to change or refill any gas after some shots or few months, what is the consistency of this nitro spring? Hope I am not asking more stupid questions

Hi
I received my gun too in 5 days time. It was well packed together with complementary pellets and calender. I tried it out on receiving itself.. Cant believe that it is a sister of Orion.. it shoots so smooth!!
Hope Aimco will maintain their current standard and Precihole will come out with some more mouth watering wares...
