Question for Steyr users

Post by bishu57 » Tue Apr 30, 2013 9:30 pm

Hi All

Recently bought a Steyr LP10E with serial no 60XXXX,
The same number is stamped on both the cylinders that came with the AP however the Gun itself does not have this number mentioned anywhere

Is there a way of knowing the manufacturing date of the Gun?

I read on one of the forums online that Steyr began the 600XXXX series in 2009 with the introduction of the LP10E, (assuming that this be true ) and my series being in the higher 2000 numbers does it mean that Steyr has sold only 2000 plus of these pistols in the last 3 years?

Any information / enlightenment would be welcome

regards

The LP10 sells much more in number than the LP10E . Though the LP10E is a newer version the LP10 is still preffered over the LP10E .
As of now there are many sellers in Europe who are offering discounts on the LP10E but you rarely hear of discounts on the LP10 .

Hello,

I have also bought a STEYR LP10E recently. My serial number is 60XXXX. The best way to know the manufacture date of this gun would be to write to this fellow [email protected].

He replies promptly.

I would agree with CKAY about LP10 and LP10E however I found the LP10E trigger to be much more in control than the LP10.

My gun itself has the serial number on its body, my cylinders do not carry the serial number.

Hi all
This is the reply I got from Steyr

___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dear Mr. Bishu,

Thanks for your E-Mail.

The pistol was manufactured in March this year.

We do not print the production date on the pistols. On the cylinders you will find the production date and the expiry date.

Best wishes,

Betreff: Manufacturing date of my LP10E

Dear Ms Manuela,

I have recently bought a Steyr LP10E match pistol through your indian distributor, Syndicate Innovations.

It carries the serial number 60XXXX

I would like to know the following

1, What is the manufacturing date of the Pistol ?

2. The cylinders have the manufacturing date and serial number on them, but the same is not mentioned on the pistol hence the question

Regards

B
