hey everyone..
today i did something & want to share with you. It's not big progress but for newbee it might be something to be happy of...
last week i came across to a "tommy mod 27" air gun packed in an old trunk the gun belongs to one of my uncle who has passed away. The gun is almost 25-30 years old.
I could cock the gun but found that no air pressure developing, so took the old lady to my gun smith who after having a look told it would be a wastage of money to restore the gun.
heavy hearted i retured back. The gun had been the one which started my intrest in these woderfull machines, i wanted her to be alive & atlest fire out a pellet on it's own. so decided to carry out the surgery on my own.
yesterday i spent my whole day searching the forum & net how to open a break barrel. Both places proofed to be of great help. After striping the gun found the old washer was all rotten & melted some how. spend 2 hr to get that shit out of the cylinder. washed the piston, spring & all interior with hot water & kerosene mixture.
got a washer from the gun smith for rs. 25 & assmebled the gun again afer spraying with antirust & oilling the moving parts.
Loaded up with national .22 flat head pellet a fired, the old lady thew it 6 feet away although there is very less power. I am happy to see her out of comma:)
Next in line is changing the spring to see if there is some change in power
it might be lousy story for everyone but all those who are in love with their beautiess they would know the emotions
weekend task :)

That's good surgery on your air gun but not complete! Second surgery is still needed. Before doing the second surgery do consult with some experienced senior surgeons on this forum.
