Found a "Hunter" air rifle. Does anyone know of this brand.

Hi fellow members,
I recently found a " Hunter" air rifle. The only thing readable was Hunter Mod.27 with an engraving of what looks like a man with a crossbow.
Would anyone know of the make? and approximate year. Any information would be welcome.

I have the same in Model 35, a smooth barrel. As far as I know, this was manufactured by Tommy airgun company. It is very accurate and powerful too. Now working on rebuilding it.

I would have to agree with nagarifle, its almost a copy of Diana. The entire gun. This one has a rifled barrel and the action is very smooth. Am working on finding someone who can restore it. Ideas anyone?

Dear Charminar,
I owned one Hunter 50 long back, it had smooth bore and perhaps the dia of the receiver was bigger than
35 model.It held awesome power yet the accuracy was so so.It was manufactured in Kolkata.This brand ,to
my mind , not in production presently as the prop Mr Nipen Das has died some 3 ,4 years back.
