Re: Under lever vs Break barrel
Tony,
Underlever and Sidelever air rifles are classified as fixed barrel springers. The general opinion is that fixed barrel springers are more accurate than break barrels. But this is debatable. A break barrel from one of the reputed manufacturers will be equal if not better than a fixed barrel. Accuracy depends more on the target shooter not the air rifle.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop or throw a rock at 1200 fps.

Re: Under lever vs Break barrel
hi Tony
As mentioned above fixed barrel guns are more accurate and hence I prefer the fixed barrel one.
As per fantumfan2003 accuracy depends upon shoter, Yes I do agree but why not get some technological help of fixed barrel to achieve better performance.
Vassili Zaitsev is expecting his Aimco 300 . I own it and am very happy to have it. Purchasing it directly from AIMCO Calcutta have prooved it to be cheaper as compared to purchasing similar gun from Pune.

Re: Under lever vs Break barrel
dear tonysilas,
in general term fixed barrels are expected to be more accurate and handy enough for those who mount a scope.underlevers are heavier at the front, whereas side levers are better balenced.for rapid plinking break barrels are the best. moreover it is individual choice .

Re: Under lever vs Break barrel
dear DAN,
if you had a toploader, prima facie, it must be terribly wrong with toploading valve causing huge air leakage or piston seal is not set properly to compress the air.i tested with Lawman's Jimmy underlever which had awesome power with Cherokee spring.
