You have also told us about the huge power now it is hitting by a 90degree turn (usually by lack of power). What went wrong? Have you cocked the gun for a long time or the heavy leakage of air from pellet insert point?

If the gun is from gimmy factory (re-branded by amico) then rest assured the rifling is good. Could you please tell us which all pellets giving this 90d turn result also are you getting more piston hitting sound then before?

Hello Tirths,
Yes I do get a group of 1.5 inch at 20 meters but if I try to adjust its windage and elevation its not giving the desired result... This can be because of poor rear sight.
And yes, the gun do have power... at 20 meters also it can easily pearce a tin box but the pellets are not hitting head on... I tried with Master Shot hunter and wadcutter....
I checked for grooves which seems to be very shallow as per Aimco model 75 and IHP 35...
When I visited wikipedia and searched rifling, I found out that rifling stabilises a pellet, but over or under rifling can ruin the stabilisation and the pellet then starts hitting side wise...
Thanks
Amol

Amol,
if the pellets hits sideways then it is impossible to get group of 1.5" at 20m theoretically.
if you are getting so, that means you have ghost on your gun. Therefore why to worry if power and accuracy is good. Moreover sideways means your pellets no more a .22 but become .26 therefore more power for clean kill :D

here is my take on the subject ; 10:1 Amol has his paper target setup agaisnt a solid background so what he sees is the richochet effect. Its velocity that's all. Amol relax dude nothing is wrong and as Tirtha says even if there is now you got a .26 caliber rifle. Happy hunting!!

Hello Tirtha and Raptor,
No Guys, I had not set the target agains any hard background. I had pasted it to a cardboard box.
Guys, I managed to pass a small light bulb through the pellet loader and take a snap of the inside to barrel of my m300 with my Canon PowerShot A640 digi cam. Sharing the snap with you for your comments... Tirtha, I will be waiting for ur comments about the grooves...
Bye friends

Nothing I can understand from this pic. The picture is not clear. You have to remove the power plant to see the groove properly and then perhaps good to take pic. moreover from pic I doubt if anyone can tell about if the pellets will go straight.

Hi Raptor,
Seeking some more colour on your M300. Since I haven't read about issues from your side am I right in assuming that Amol's gun has some sort of a production defect or do you have some pointers worth noting ?

Hi Amol,
Have you been able to solve the problem of pellets hitting sideways ? Also I understand that you were not happy with quality of the sight and planned to replace it with the one on your IHP, have you managed to do so ? If the gun you own has a production defect is Aimco replacing the gun for you ?

Any thoughts (even beyond the scope of questions) from the two of you is much appreciated. Thanks !

Kind Regards
Dara

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.
