Re: Need to change the IHP front and rear sight
Santhosh,
I have developed some kind of reservation in the recent past about doing up IHP, you can change the rear and front sight but how about other performance area ? though you can get most of the Diana parts and fix it in the IHP, what about bore and piston chamber and breech etc ? after doing all these changes you will still find yourself need for more power in the rifle, so once again you will start thinking about other upgrade, at one point except the stock the gun will have more Diana in it, but then at what cost ? time and efforts ?
I would suggest you get used of IHP as is where, and try to invest on a better product even if it will take some time just hold till then.

PS: As Tramway says - there is no end to tuning your IHP to enhance its performance. Air Rifles have limitations as far as Fps & Flbs are concerned. Most international makes produce anywhere between 700 - 800 fps with stanard pellets and are considered good. Hence if you install a Synthetic Seal + imported spring and lube them properly your IHP should produce 700 to 750 fps + fair accuracy. In my considered opinion this good enough for (personal) target shooting / plinking and pest control.

Re: Need to change the IHP front and rear sight
Hey,
Its not for power but for acuracy ,i like to use the open sight for shooting that gives me more confidence ,and The rear sight is very bad and i want to change the part just to get my accuracy, after every 15 shots i need to adjust my rearsight, basically move it to the left a bit so that i get the right aim. more over the the pin inside the the front sight is bent a little bit so that its hard to get a 4" group at a distance of 15 mts.
I am satisfied with the power but not the accuracy.
More over the Breech seal is not that great it will also get worn out soon so it will surely affect the accuracy. Thats why i want to chage this part for a better one.
