Breaking in of a new gun & importing via personal baggage

Hi Guys. I have been newly bitten by the shooting craze. Joined the Maharashtra Rifle Association at Worli. Signed up here. I used to do a little plinking back in my childhood days with a IHP rifle which belonged to my uncle.
In 2001 I had gotten a Crosman CO2 powered pistols, which was lying unused for years due to lack of interest and CO2 cylinders.
I was vacationing in Hong Kong with my wife and son last week and came across a gun shop there and on impulse I bought a Gamo Compact. It has been modified to be under 2 joules to keep it in line with Hong Kong rules. I also, bought like 20 CO2 cylinders for my Crosman at around Rs. 20/- per cylinder and I put the gun in one bag and the cylinders in another bag.
At Hong Kong airport I declared the gun to the airline staff and they said nothing about it. In Mumbai, both the bags were screened and I wasn't asked anything about it and I walked out of the airport with both the gun and the CO2 cylinders. It was a breeze.
The girl who sold me the Gamo Compact said that I have to plug two small holes to increase the power of the pistol to normal levels. Okay, so I am a newbie and I dont know what that meant, so I am going to need some help from you guys about this. She showed me which holes to plug.
What I want to know is :
A> Can I used Indian .177 ammo for my gun
B> Do I have to oil the gun and clean it everytime I use it or at a set interval of maybe once a month or so
C> Any shop in Mumbai that sells imported .177 ammo
D> Any IFG members who are around Mumbai who can help me bring the gun to its normal power by plugging those two holes.
E> How can the gun be modified to give me optimum power
Thanks and looking forward to hearing from all you shooters out there!
