You know of any place where you get bullet proof jacket india or abroad . How much does it cost ?

What level of protection do you want and why do you need one?

outside India, looking at $400-500 USA.
In India, they come from outside, local ones? not sure of how effective they are as lack of reliable data.

Can you please give me address where I can get in US . I dont want the heavy ones which are worn by security personnel here in India .

I don't think you can get a bullet proof jacket off the counter. There is a factory near Doiwala , Dehradun which imports the parts and assembles bullet proof jackets and then supplies them to the Army and Paramilitary forces of our nation. I was speaking to a gentleman who works their. They make to order and can not sell the jackets in the open market. The reason he gave was that if these jackets are easily available then the Anti social elements and Terrorists would be wearing them .....and giving our security forces a tough time.



I am sure there are certain rules (and laws) with regards to procuring a bullet proof jacket.

You are right you dont get it over the counter here in India but I am told that you can get it in US or China or ....... But I don't know where you get it .

like m24 said google it. the problem is that you have to try it on. a bed fitting jacket is a killer and no one that i ever met who sold one would never ever take it back once used

there are many types under the shirt or over. with panels and without.

What level of protection do you want. Remember that a decent .338 Lapua Magnum will defeat two - three layers of Class II Body armour at 1500 yards.
