Hello Everybody !!

At the outset I am new to this forum. We (Ghaziabad District Rifle Association), are a newly formed organization and have recently been sanctioned 35 Bighas of land by the state government for setting up a shooting range for training enthusiasts for state/national/international competitions. We need the design and architectural specifications of an indoor air rifle shooting range which can be set up in 35 Bighas and can house the latest facilities. Can anyone guide us or help us in this regard ?

thanks in advance.

T.P. Tyagi, VrC
Vice President
Ghaziabad District Rifle Association

congrats!!

Can u share with us how u managed to wrangle 35 bighas of land from the govt for this noble purpose?

Is this 'kachhi bigha' where 5 bigha = 1 acre or 'pakki bigha' where 2 bigha = 1 acre (approx)?

if it is pakki bigha, then y even have enough land to set up a skeet range. do u plan to do so? or trap?

can you spare few minutes to explain the basic procedure for forming a new rifle organisation, formalities, permissions required etc.

do keep the members updated by adding pictures.

Dear auatai,

Can you please provide us with the address of the Shooting Range? And since your last response on this thread was on January 2010, could you tell us what progress has been made?

Depending on development of neighborhood and city, and regulations by Municipality, State and Central Gov't, you seems to be good for 300 yards rifle range. In case you are backing into a hill. Or you dig incline and have a step up 100 yards,200 yrds and if allowed 300 yards. Most rifle guys shoot max 300 normally

BUT , a big factor is always that general population is catching up so fast - Haji
