Here is mine with a .50 BMG cartridge for comparision.. I dont shoot the .50 but everything else is shot a lot.
And with the exception of the 12 ga and .22 I load for them as well... lets see if you can guess them.
Am also in the process of getting rid of one of them, since I have lost my appetite for high recoil out of a 8lb rifle. Just realised a couple of calibers are missing from here.

I would guess if it isnt .30-06 or something the minimum of .375 no one is interested...

The ,22lr, 9mm para, 7.62x39, 6br, and 22-250 are correct, but the rest arent. The 12 ga is correct in that it is 12 ga but its 3 inch and 2/34

I wanted to use the search function to check your previous posts and decipher the cartridges,but that will be defeating this exercise.So, I will try other methods.
One question, if military cartridges are banned/or restricted in France, how come you own some military ones there? Or is there a special license?Thank you.

Military cartridges arent banned. You just need a license. Non military cartridges only require a hunting permit or membership of a shooting club.
Strictly speaking one can get anything. Just depends on how much red tape you want to deal with. Even auto's are possible. Provided you're willing to wait a couple of years, answer mindless questions, and wait a couple of years.

No. 5: .260 Remington
No. 6: .222 Remington Magnum
No. 8: 6mm Norma Benchrest
No. 3 seems to small in the bullet for a .300 Win Mag (for which the case is too long), yet too large for the 7mm STW. Not aware of any .30-8mm Rem Mag. So no guess on that one.

Right on 5 and 6. 8. Number 3 is indeed a .300 WM and the OAL is right for it. The Bullet is actually a Scenar, which throws the shape off, especally since the rifle for it is a SHR 970 which has a very tight chamber.
Number 4 is the 8x60S a caliber almost unkown outside of Europe.

If No.7 is indeed the 8x60S, which I'm quite familiar with, there's some amazing photographic trickery involved , besides the angle or relative distance from the lens. ???

I can assure you there is no trickery involved # 4 from the left. It is a standard Privi case, virgin brass, full resized, 198 grain Privi FMJ over 47.5 grain of Tu 5000 and a CCI LR primer.
The distance from the lens is about two feet.

O.K., coming in from different directions! That's what threw me off, thought No. 4 had been established as a .30-06, and didn't take a critical look at it. Just used it as the yard stick. That made the .300 Win Mag bullet look too small, and the case too long in comparison. Every thing is clear now.
By the way, what has been your experience with Prvi cases? Seems that some years ago when Yugoslavia was starting to break up, quality and consistency left much to be desired.

Well compared to the RWS brass for 8x60S it is a lot stronger, and not to mention a lot cheaper.
I have loaded the Privi brass to 49 grains of Tu 5000 without any pressure signs, and virtually no stretch. Cant say the same for the RWS brass, which developed loose primer pockets, and showed signs of gas leak after three reloads at that level.
The Privi bullets are a different story, sometimes you end up with copper washed bullets with steel jackets. The Mauser is only a soda can plinker, so it doesnt worry me.

Cheaper for sure. Have you weighed the brass, checked capacity, compared velocity? RWS has been the strongest brass were I have used it, albeit also the heaviest and with the least capacity, so requiring a smaller powder charge for the same pressure and velocity. But, unfortunately, quality of a product can change.
Have been using resized .30-06 FA Match cases, and have not yet compared them to RWS, which had been unavailable here until two years ago.
