Converting a gun to full auto DOES NOTHING to circumvent the legal requirements in ANY country... it merely makes you into a criminal (if the local laws don't allow it)... which is what really prevents law abiding people from doing it, not the lack of know how....

if you say it can not be done, then you are right, for you, it can not be done.
Can this be done with an AK 47 or an INSAS rifle, Doesn't the success of this technique depend up on the rate of fire of a particular model of the rifle?

Not really, the biggest factor is the amount of felt recoil you get. The more the gun pushes back the more aggressive you can be with adding pressure on the trigger.

Why would one like to that with an AK47? - since any AK in India would be govt. issue, that would be fully Auto.
INSAS too is already full auto ready- it just has the 3round burst limitation.

I know very well that it is almost impossible that a civilian in India can get his hands on an AK47,let alone fire it.. I was merely asking if its possible with an AK series or an INSAS...
Thank you Mark & Cottage Cheese for clearing the matter.
Cheers

You can do it with most any gun, even some 22LR rifles but you need a very delicate touch and it helps to shoot at some targets up on a hillside so the gun is elevated. Also, it will only do it for 2-3 shots and then you will have to reposition your grip or something. However, all you are doing is wasting ammo as you can't really hit anything reliably.

Shadowphaxone...
Yes it can be done quite easily with the civilian versions of the AK type guns. There are several video's of this floating around on you tube.
Like I mentioned earlier... can be done with almost any semi-auto weapon, even pistols. (Though more difficult to do so)
