Dear everybody,
Yesterday I was speaking to an arms dealer who seems to be well acquainted with the arms rules told me that you cannot have 2 weapons of the same category on your license, he means you cannot have 1 revolver +1 pistol/2revolvers or 2 pistols.
But you can have 1 revolver or pistol along with a rifle.
Can you'll please shed some light on this please.

I am guessing that these so called "can not"s are mostly surmises. But, even earlier, there has been an occasional officer who has denied on that basis.
AFAIK there is nothing in the Rules or Act that prevents 2 handguns or 2 shotguns 0r 2 rifles.
If a person can not handle a long gun due to old age etc, he may want one concealeable pistol for carrying when out and about. He may want a more powerful revolver such as a .357 for home defense, if that is what he is comfortable with.

It’s not mentioned anywhere that two weapons of same type can not be endorsed. I have seen many licenses with two guns or two handguns.
The problem is that many district license branches have made up their own rules and we are forced to follow them.
Ask them to show where is Arms Act 1959 or Arm rules 2016 it’s written and they won’t be able to show
