That is a large one!

Is it a punt gun? Also, they made some "rampart guns" that were giant muskets and mounted to defensive walls.

its not a punt gun for sure, is it for rampart mounting thingy? unable to confirm as not seen or heard of one in these parts.

big horns are not a problem can send em your way, one at least, as many are also after em. as for shooting em, not much point as the animal are of bison family and semi wild in these parts.

just download the pic and enlarge it on your pc, am not a tecky type person.lol

I remember seeing this kind of gun at City Museum Jaipur. Such guns were mounted on Camels or Elephants and were used as close range siege weapons and to counter enemy artillery. I remember the gun mounted on elephants had a much wider barrel and size.

It was around 11 years back when i was only 12 that I saw these kind of guns. There was an assortment of guns having different kinds of barrel length and width and having different purposes. Some were anti personnel in nature, others were anti armor or anti cavalry (including elephants) and some with the wide barrels were close range siege weapons to destroy wooden fortifications and such. The common denominator between these guns was that they were all mounted either on elephants or camels, or on ramparts. I believe the rifle carried by the person in picture is not supposed to be fired handheld. This is just an idea and i may be wrong. :P
