Identify these markings on Ishapore 2A1 7.62 rifle

Hi, I have recently aquired this Ishapore 2A1 7.62 rifle for target shooting in the UK and wonder if anyone could tell me what the markings on the stock mean ?
I have yet to shoot it , I would also like to hear of any stories of their use and are they still used ?
