Hi friends.
Just wanted to know wether Blank Pistols and revolvers are prohibited in india. If leagal what is the way to declare. Please throw some light.

It's not legal to carry blank pistol in India. This cannot be sold legal. There is no such provision in arms act for blank pistol. Since there is a lacuna in law it is available in market with some dealer. In case there is a case of threatening using blank pistol then the person lands up in trouble. You cannot carry it in a way you carry your licensed weapon.you can also not carry by air as it is a prohibited item.
For fun you can keep one at home but has to be careful while taking it out. Recently one case happened in Mumbai and the person landed in great trouble.
