Indians For Guns

Hi everyone,

Got to ask something. I have heard that hanging rifles on your walls is good for home vastu. I would love to hear from you.

P.S - If some of you don't believe in Vastu, it's alright. But no negative comments or jokes please.

Only if the bolt is opened and drawn back. Helps with the flow of magnetic forces. A clockwise twist is mandatory for those in the northern hemisphere and counter-clockwise for those in the south. If you live on the Equator, you are screwed!

With shotguns, the barrels are displayed whilst the butt-stock and receiver are kept in the gun cabinet.

There is also a provision in the Arms Act that permits you to have your firearms deactivated for Vastu purposes.

Vastu deals with our physical environment. According to classical Vastu Shastra, the South East is the direction of Agni, the God of Fire. The kitchen should be located here. Perhaps firearms also, although Sherlock Holmes is the only person who comes to mind when it comes to indoor shooting.

On a more practical note, many rulers of Indian States displayed weapons on their walls. Yet the whole princely order was swept away in the events of 1947. Perhaps the arms displayed on the palace walls preserved their owners till Independence.

A most interesting topic I must say. I am completely ignorant and want to know what Indian Vastu Sashtra says about location/ display of firearms and edged weapons in a home because for the first time I am planning to display some of my antiques after I am done with the renovation of one part of my building. There must be references. I request members like Mack The Knife to keep posting.

i never knew that gun vastu excisted.

Safarigent: Sent you the PM a short while ago. My Sanskrit is pretty poor but the 4th shloka on page 3 says or I think it says, that correct storage/placement of the bow (gun in your case) also results in the bow becoming more accurate. I hope this does not result in you storing the shotgun in the bogs.

Mack The Knife there is no PM and I know Bawas are known for their peculiar sense of humor.

If on the other hand you are serious than perhaps you are referring to a text called Dhanur Veda which is a complete piece of s___ as far as Archery is concerned.

I'm getting the feeling that you have smelled a good practical here so wont say anything more to blow your cover
