Here are production figures for the US Firearms industry.
It is interesting to note that Ruger is the overall leading firearms manufacturer (by the number of firearms sold).
Surprisingly, they sell more handguns than Smith and Wesson. While there are a lot of .22 LR handguns being sold, I was surprised at the sheer number of .380 handguns that Ruger has sold. I had no idea that the caliber was so popular.
It is also surprising to note that brands like CZ and H&K come in close to the custom gun shops like Wilson, Ed Brown, etc. I didn't realize that their numbers were so low.

I would say that the .380 pistol that Ruger has sold in such large numbers is the Ruger LCP.ngrewal wrote:Interesting XL which pistol or revolver would that be in .38

I'm also surprised that Glock comes in a distant 14th in pistol production. Even little Keltec sell three times as many pistols as Glock!

they separate manufacturing from import. Apparently, Glock manufactured in the US 31000 but imported 431000 or so from Austria.... i didn't know they made that many in the US!
