Hello,
I own a Stevens 87 D .22 and a Hi Standard Model B .22. My question is can I safely fire Stinger/Velocitor in these two weapons.
Thanks

I would definitely be careful when using those extra-high velocity rounds in an older blowback pistol The High Standard is a fine weapon and getting hard to find, even in the US. It is much prized for its accuracy and if it were mine, I would only shoot standard velocity and the regular high velocity ammo in it.
You could probably shoot the stingers and velocitors in small quantities and suffer no damage to the handgun but if it were mine, I would not. Remember you aren't going to get close to the velocities listed on the box out of a pistol so why bother.

How about a .22 LR carbon steel Walther PPK/S? Is the Hyper vel ammo okay in it? I have fired but not that consistently from this beautiful piece of art. Never thought of all this when brought it brand new from abroad in 1985. I should be careful from now on I guess. But, frankly I enjoy watching that long tongue of fire emitting from the barrel with the high vel stuff when ever used.

Since this rifle's bolt can be locked, you should have no problem in that mode. In semi-auto mode you may have extraction problems with the longer case, but that would be all.

Please enlighten me if it is okay for Marlin Model 60 circa 1985. In my reckless youth I loved using Stingers as much as I could. I recall some Marlin advisory about not using them in the model 60 etc. Would XL_Target or Two Rivers please let me know if this is kosher or not.
Regards,
Dev
