to order or not to order from usa

Post by doctor » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:58 pm

hi guys,
my friend is returning from Usa and i intend to order few thing .
i have a .22 iof
i plan to order a bipod and a illuminated scope and a bluing soln.
can anyone suggest me a online store which can ship to his address, he resides in georgia .
(i went thru walmart,cabelas,dealextreme)
i also have the following queries.
1) can the scope and the bipod be confiscated by the customs.
would he be harassed by the customs for bringing in the above mentioned items.
2)i am thinking of ordering Crosman Pumpmaster Classic .177 Caliber Air Pistol ( its just 44 dollars)
can my friend bring it with him and if so any duty to be paid in india.
does he have to declare the gun on arrival.can it be confiscated.
can he be in trouble if he does not declare the gun.
ps :my friend is a doctor and is not in to rifle / gun shooting nor is he a member of any indian rifle club

thanks-doctor

Doctor,

1.You can order from Brownells.

2.For bluing get this http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=7780 ... -DEGREASER

3.Get a Harris bipod

4. I would suggest get a good sling and sling swivels.I would recommend Grovtec sling swivels/screws.They are way better than Uncle Mikes.

5.Good illuminated scopes are expensive.Something like $900 and up.Do not try to get a tactical scope. It will land your friend in trouble with US authorities.

Bluing solution and bipod is OK no problemo....
Sometimes if you want to get rid of the gun, you have to pick the gun up.
