Just started reading this book "Gunshot Wounds: Practical Aspects of Firearms, Ballistics, and Forensic Techniques" by Vincent J.M. DiMaio M.D. Happened to see it while walking around one of my school libraries. Seems very interesting, with lots of information.

Here is the link on amazon.

Why would the average shooter want this book, considering it is geared towards healthcare professionals, lawers etc.

From a shooter's perspective all you need to know are the vital areas, and the ability to consistently hit those. Do you really care about wound channels, etc? I don't. Consistently placed double taps is what I care about.

Learn shot placement, spend the money you would on the book on ammunition and go practise.

Why would cops and security need to know about wound ballistics? Military/Trauma surgeons and forensic personnel, yes. But the cop on the beat?
