This is Heckler and Kochs answer to FNs P90 PDW. A much smaller weapon, it is just as fast firing, and its small 4.7mm round can easily penetrate body-armour. Designed specifically as a replacement to pistol sidearms, the MP7 is not too much larger than a .50AE Desert Eagle, and can carry 20 rounds in its magazine, or 50 in an extended one. It can be used as a medium-range single shot 'sniper' weapon, but it is more likely to be used as a CQC full-auto weapon.

it's more of a sophisticated UZI design, americans are still not using it except in small numbers in units like delta force, seal team six.even the SAS hasnt adopted it now compared to newer G36C rifle which they are using.

i remember a green beret posting on a forum "dont try to kill a racoon with an MP7 you'll need to shot it 20 times"

i would still in CQB choose MP5 over mp7,i like the P90 too.

but in the end it always depends on the shooter some go for MP5,some for MP7 ,some will prefer the russian PP19 bizon.

its the same in rifles some like bullpups some dont, even in the para(SF) some prefer the M4A1 over the tavor.
