Dear Doctor
I think these are for making soda at home. They are filled with Carbon Dioxide. They are to be fixed on to a soda maker bottle and punctured to release the gas into the water in the bottle, which are usually wrapped in a steel wire net.

The good new is that they look like the standard 12 gram ones used in most co2 air pistols and air rifles. So now you need a Co2 airgun that's all

The smaller ones are almost certainly 8 gram CO2 capsules, they aren't meant for most CO2 airguns - however the IHP Cadet can use them via an adaptor that replaces the rear filling valve. Their usual use is for the traditional soda siphons, they may also be used in some types of life vests.
To use these in airguns/ airpistols designed around the 12 gram capsules, you may need to use something like a wooden dowel etc. to make up for the shorter length.
Cheers!

Abhijeet,
+1 - the 8 gm Co2 cartridges were used in older air guns. The cartridges are 2.5 inches long and 3/4 inches in diameter.
For a listing of types and specs of various Co2 cartridges please see:

According to airgun lore in most of the repeating co2 pistols, a few pennies placed below the cartridge is all that you need to do. That will make them work in most co2 air rifles and pistols.

Dev

8gm and 12 gram co2 catridge look like same but the former is used in sodamaker and later is used in airgun . The 8 gm co2 have more neck diameter that 12gm co2 catridge so with length adapter they may fit the co2 pistol but sealing of catridge is not sure due to variance in neck diameter.

siphon is in this case indicative for SODA SYPHON. As per information available through Google Co2 cartridges can be and are used both for air guns and for home soda syphons. It is claried that one should not use the cartridges meant for air guns for drinking soda because the co2 gas for air gun use in not clean and pure for human use.
