Granddaughter came for a visit

My daughter and her family came to visit for a week. My oldest g.d. is 5 1/2 years. With the parents o.k., I bought her a Crikett single shot .22 rifle.
We spent a day going over saftey rules and proper handling. On the second day, we revisited the rules, I fired a few rounds to show her what it would do, and then let her shoot (I was always crouched down with my arms around her lightly holding the rifle). She had a blast! We fired about 30 rounds before she tired of it.
After the session, she cleared the rifle, then broke it down, cleaned it, and put it in the safe.
She's gone home now, but when I talk to her on the phone, she always wants to know if her rifle is here, and tells me she's ready to shoot some more.
Start 'em right, start 'em young!
