This is a scene from Akira Kurasova's film 'Kagemusha. In this scene a Samurai sniper demonstrates how he shot Lord Shingen in the darkness of the night.'Very interesting how the shooter approximates his aim.

"Blocked on copyright grounds" it says! Mr. Grewal, you are right, also "throne of blood", etc. One of the best japanese directors.

I think his surname is Kurosawa.

For those who haven't seen the film or are are unable to view the video, the scene involves the debriefing of a sniper, who has shot and wounded Takeda Shingen. The sniper explains he marked his gun position at daytime based on where Shingen would turn up at night to listen to a flute player, then fired at night at the right time. Very ingenious, and based on a well known legend.

Such films are such a contrast to Hollywood popcorn efforts like "The Last samurai"
