imagine mortals like us entering a similar showroom if it were situated in india. the first thing they would have said was no photographs. no touching no asking questions. a great treat for us children of a lesser god.

Thanks for sharing the snaps of your visit. The photos are amazing though I am sure being there must have been a totally different experience. The best camera in this world is the human eye. I wish the snaps of the carvings had come out better. Fantastic workmanship. Each weapon is a piece of art.

Thank you gentlemen and glad to see that you are enjoying the pictures.Seeing your enthusiasm and noticing that quite a few are new comers, you may like to take a look at these two posts too.

The Holy Trinity of gunmakers pantheon-Holland and Holland,Purdey and Boss are covered with some very delectable extras thrown in.

Take your time and go through them slowly so that there is little sensory overload.

I find myself coming back to this article again and again. The weapons are just so beautiful. So are the trophies. The Elephant Skull as you enter the place is very impressive. We call elephants with a broken tusk "Ganesh" in the Indian jungles. This surely is the largest "African Ganesh" I can think of. The 150 kgs tusks are as impressive......though the largest African elephant ever shot (in 1897) had tusks weighing 211 kgs.

Vikram,

I am sure your blues were washed away when you started the tour. Feel refreshed to finish my day at work with a smile. Dont worry about the pictures.
