Give application to DM/ADM. Consent (via affidavit) of all legal heirs will be required.

Once DM/ADM gives his consent, the application will be sent to arms branch for processing and permission will be granted to sell the weapon.

1) First get his / her death certificate and legal heir cerificate
2) get no objection afidavit from all legal heirs to sell the deceased person's weapon showing the licence number , weapon number, model make and all details.
3) With these above documents , petition the licencencing authority for permission for sale deposit in your nearby armoury or a particular person if you have a ready buyer with valid licence and Purchase period .

Hello - Can someone guide me what is the process if the guns are already on my license? But the license expired a couple of years ago.

Also any idea on how long the approval would usually take (my license but expired)?

Give an application to the ADM/DM to renew your license. They will ask you why didn’t you got it renewed in time. So be prepared so that you can satisfy them with your answer.

Usually time is one to two months
